The Foundation makes supply drops of donated household and wellness supplies, non-perishable food items, and clothing on average three times per month supporting our veterans at local VA locations in Palo Alto, Livermore, and Monterey. In addition, we serve the families visiting their veteran loved ones staying at the Fisher Houses and veterans staying at the Defenders Lodge in advance of their medical appointments. By managing this through the Foundation, we can vet and target our supply drops directly to causes in need.

The Veterans Foundation knows all too well that when one member of a family serves in the military, all family members serve. Two Fisher Houses exist on the Palo Alto VA campus that provide 41 comfort rooms where military and veteran families can stay free of charge while loved ones receive medical support at the VA hospital. Families staying at the Fisher House can be from points west of the Mississippi River and are often connected to veterans receiving long term care.

Donations to restock refrigerators and essential items for families from far and wide while visiting their military service member or veteran allow them to focus on their loved ones rather than having to navigate Palo Alto streets to find late night dinners.
