Society owes a debt of care to those who defended national security. Allowing veterans to be homeless or starve represents a profound systemic and ethical failure. : Food insecurity worsens pre-existing military conditions like PTSD and depression.
For years, the Veterans Memorial & Support Foundation through “Veterans Stand Down” initiatives has supported delivering the necessities of life to veterans which is a critical intervention that honors their service while addressing severe, interconnected public health and social crises.

The Veterans Foundation has and continues to support securing and delivering the necessities of life for food-insecure veterans who attend Stand Down where veterans are also treated to health care/dental, grooming and information resource services.
