ROB STEPHENSON

For over two decades, Rob Stephenson has demonstrated service, loyalty, and commitment to his country and to the Town of Los Gatos, voluntarily supporting causes for which he feels passionate. Rob Stephenson:

    • Demonstrated his commitment to America as a dedicated Marine (Infantry and Embassy Duty,) where he served offshore during the War on Terror for six years with the United States Marine Corps;
    • Established confidence and dependability in his superiors by successfully managing information security as a follow-on career for concerns to include by example, Northrop Grumman in Los Angeles;
    • Delivers improvements today to the Town of Los Gatos in his current Town Parks Commission Vice-Chair position, a volunteer role, and a testament to his dedication to our Town;
    • Is a committed and inspiring Board Director for the Los Gatos Veterans Memorial & Support Foundation, the Lions Club and Lions Charities;
    • Positively impacts the Town’s youth population by voluntarily contributing his time to his children’s elementary and middle schools; and
    • Plans to run for the Los Gatos Town Council in 2022.

Serving is not new to the Stephensons. Rob represents the fourth consecutive generation in his family to serve in the U.S. Armed Forces with service dating back to WWII, Korea, Vietnam, the Cold War and the War on Terror. His spouse, born and raised in Silicon Valley and having spent her adult life in the Los Gatos Almaden area, is a physician continuing to serve during the COVID crisis with a specialty in Perinatology and Maternal-Fetal Medicine. The two have chosen to make the Town of Los Gatos home, where they reside today with their family.

jim free "Going clear back to the Civil War, all of our Veterans have raised their right hand and swore to preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.   And along with that we wrote a check to the U.S. Government and the American People for an amount up to and including our lives.  Unfortunately, far too many have given their all in that regard."
James FreeChairman Emeritus, Campbell Veterans Memorial Foundation
ed stahl"It is important to have a war memorial because it must not be forgotten that many people gave their lives so that we Americans might have what we have today."
