WAYNE HEIMSOTH
Wayne is a Veteran Era Veteran, serving in the US Army from 1966 to 1968. After basic training at Fort Lewis, he attended AIT training at Fort Ord; then received orders to Germany. He was stationed at Bad Kreuznach at the Division Headquarters of the 8th Infantry Division. After a career in information systems, he is retired and now besides volunteering in a book store for the Saratoga Library, volunteers once a week at the Veterans Hospital in Palo Alto. He is a representative of the Volunteer Association of the Palo Alto Veterans Health Care System, and sits on their executive board. He is a member of the Legion of Honor in the Shrine, and a member of the American Legion Post 99.
