DESCRIPTION:RISE\, STAND UNITED\, STAND STRONG AMERICA! \nAmericans have demonstrated on numerous occasions that they know how to RISE AGAIN\, STAND UNITED\, STAND STRONG.  9/11 was no exception.  Today is proof positive that America knows how to RISE. A new World Trade Center adorns the footprint of the former Twin Towers and beautiful memorials commemorate the lives lost at the Twin Towers\, the Pentagon and the crash site in Shanksville Pennsylvania.  The Veterans Memorial & Support Foundation commemorates the lives of local 9/11 heroes Mark Bingham and Todd Beamer at our own Flame of Liberty Memorial located at the Los Gatos Civic Center. \nTodd and Mark were two members of the four-passenger team aboard United Flight 93 who attempted to take back cockpit control from terrorists on that tragic day.  Todd and Mark never wore a uniform and never attended any military training.  Yet\, they were killed in action.  Their selfless acts of courage prevented the Capitol Building and all within it from being annihilated.  Moreover\, our government escaped harm at a crucial time when it was critical to act. \nIn the spirit of standing strong\, the Veterans Memorial & Support Foundation invites you to RISE and join us for a tribute to 9/11 heroes.
